OUTDOOR CHANNEL AND CRAIG MORGAN TO CELEBRATE NATIONAL HUNTING AND FISHING DAY

Share #WhatGetsYouOutdoors on # NHFDay via Twitter, Instagram & Facebook

WHO: Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader in Outdoor TV; U.S. Army veteran, country music star and Outdoor Channel TV host Craig Morgan; and National Hunting and Fishing Day.

WHAT: Outdoor Channel is sponsoring this year’s National Hunting and Fishing Day (NHF Day) on Saturday, September 27, 2014. The national holiday, which takes place annually on the fourth Saturday of September, is a grassroots effort that started in 1972 to promote outdoor sports and conservation through a series of nationwide events.

Craig Morgan is the honorary chairman of this year’s NHF Day. The Tennessee native is also host of the award-winning “Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors,” airing Sundays at 11:00 p.m. ET on Outdoor Channel. Craig will be promoting NHF Day via Twitter and Facebook, and during his concert on September 27th at the Paper Mill Island Amphitheater in Baldwinsville, NY.

To further shine a spotlight on the importance of NHF Day and the longstanding traditions associated with hunting and fishing, Outdoor Channel invites enthusiasts to share #WhatGetsYouOutdoors on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, using the hashtag #NHFDay. #WhatGetsYouOutdoors #NHFDay-tagged photos and videos will appear in a Gallery found on www.OutdoorChannel.com/WhatGetsYouOutdoors. And, a Photo of the Day will be chosen by Outdoor Channel’s digital team based on the best imagery that captures the essence NHF Day: a renewed appreciation for nature.

WHY: For both Outdoor Channel and Craig Morgan, NHF Day is an opportunity to reflect on the beauty and majesty of the great outdoors, as well as a chance to think about how to actively protect and restore America’s cherished lands and waters for future generations to enjoy.

WHEN: Saturday, September 27th 2014

WHERE: National Hunting & Fishing Day events will be held nationwide!
