Country star Craig Morgan was among the honorees, winning awards for Best Turkey and Best Deer for his hit television series “Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors." CRAIG MORGAN FEATURED IN THE TENNESSEAN

Country music star, TV host and Dickson County resident Craig Morgan is preparing to release his sixth studio album, “This Ole Boy,” on Feb. 28.

The release marks Morgan’s first new music in nearly three years, and his first with Black River Entertainment after signing with the label in April last year.

Hollywood actress Angie Harmon stars alongside Morgan in the sweet and surprising music video clip for the title track lead single.

The video, directed by Kristin Barlowe, was filmed in Arrington, Tenn. late last year. The music video for the title track can be seen on various TV and online platforms in the coming days, and will be available for digital download later this month.

In addition to the video and his TV show, “Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors,” Morgan spent some time in November testing his acting chops on the set of the Lifetime series The Army Wives. Morgan made the trip to Charleston, S.C., to film a performance part on the show and says he hit it off so well with the writers and directors that they wrote him a speaking part.

Morgan made a name for himself with his signature hits: “Bonfire,” “Almost Home,” “Redneck Yacht Club,” “That’s What I Love About Sunday” and “International Harvester.

Morgan was inducted as a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2008.

Prior to his entertainment career, Morgan spent over 10 years of active duty in the Army and an additional nine years in the Army Reserves. He is an avid supporter of America’s military personnel and a recipient of the 2006 USO Merit Award.

Encino, CA (January 5, 2012) – ACM Lifting Lives® announced today that the January theme for its monthly “My Cause” web feature is “Poverty in America Awareness Month.” The web feature drives awareness of artist-supported charitable organizations and supports fundraising efforts for those philanthropies.

ACM Lifting Lives repeated the My Cause opportunity in 2011 by encouraging artists to speak on camera about their favorite charities at the 2011 ACM Awards. My Cause is a way for ACM Lifting Lives to tangibly demonstrate the Academy’s support of country music artists. Many people have been helped by these fantastic charities, and ACM Lifting Lives bolsters that support by increasing awareness and funding for these very deserving causes. After his recent signing with Black River Entertainment, country music superstar and celebrated TV host Craig Morgan is anxious to share new music with his fans. The highly anticipated 5-song EP, This Ole Boy, will be available for digital purchase on November 1st in advance of a full-length album expected in early 2012.

The toe-tapping sing-along title track “This Ole Boy” is currently climbing the country charts. In between touring and filming for the 3rd season of his TV show Craig Morgan All Access Outdoors, Morgan worked in the studio with co-producer Phil O’Donnell to create that classic Craig Morgan sound. Country star and celebrated TV host Craig Morgan is thrilled to join Field & Stream, the world’s leading outdoor magazine, in recognizing the 2011 Heroes of Conservation. The honorees will be celebrated at a gala event in Washington D.C. on October 11, where they will be presented with a $5,000 conservation grant. One honoree will be named Field & Stream’s Conservation Hero of the Year and will walk away with a new Toyota Tundra, all made possible by the generosity and support of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. Morgan will host the event and perform an acoustic set live for attendees.

Now in its sixth year, Field & Stream’s Heroes of Conservation program is dedicated to honoring individuals involved in grassroots projects to preserve the land, water and wildlife vital to sportsman’s pursuits. Country Music superstar and celebrated TV host Craig Morgan is gearing up for some great national television appearances this week. To kick things off, Morgan will be appearing on Hannity on Fox News on Wednesday, October 5th at 9PM ET as part of the show’s Great American panel.

Adding to the excitement of the week, Morgan will be part of the Opry’s 86th Birthday Bash Weekend celebration. The show will air on GAC’s “Opry Live” on October 8th at 9PM ET. Fans can also catch Craig in GAC’s "Day Jobs" where he revisits his days as a soldier in the United States Army. The episode debuts on October 9th at 8PM ET.
